Affordable housing is a major concern for year-round residents of Cape Cod, and Falmouth has been among the most active communities in the region in developing new affordable housing opportunities.

The Village at Old Main in Falmouth is an 8-unit homeownership development permitted under Chapter 40B, the state’s affordable housing zoning law.

MassHousing issued site and final approvals for the project, working with developer Northland Residential and the Town of Falmouth throughout the permitting process.

The development consists of three duplex-style townhomes and two single-family homes, is located near shops, restaurants and beaches, and is directly adjacent to the Shining Sea Bike Path.
