Creating, preserving and supporting affordable housing for individuals and families in recovery
Through the Center for Community Recovery Innovations (CCRI), MassHousing provides grants to promote the creation and preservation of affordable housing for individuals in recovery and their families.
To date, CCRI has awarded more than $17.5 million in grants for the creation or preservation of nearly 3,200 units of substance-free housing, in 56 communities, serving recovery populations that include men, women, families, veterans, and the LGBTQ+ community.

Applying for CCRI Grants
The FY27 CCRI Grant Application is now available for registered 501c3 organizations seeking funding to create or preserve affordable sober housing or develop innovative programming to support the recovery community.

Resources for Individuals Seeking Rental Assistance
CCRI grants are not available to individuals seeking rental assistance for sober housing. Resources for rental assistance can be found from
