Stephen Murray has moved 16 times over the course of his life. But now—along with fiancé Airaceli, their three children and godson—he has unpacked for the last time.

"We were both ready to plant roots," he said. "We are settling into our forever home, and we are done!"

Stephen, who recently completed training as a paramedic, and Airaceli, who works at Berkshire Health, used an affordable MassHousing Mortgage through Academy Mortgage in Dalton to purchase their home in North Adams.

The Murray's home is nestled in a bucolic mountaintop setting, with four acres of land, panoramic views and even chickens leftover from the previous owners. Since moving in, they have been hard at work making improvements to the yard and exterior and updates inside.

"To be honest, I don't know how we pulled off," Stephen said. "I pinch myself every time I pull into the driveway."
